Broken Hill High School year 9 student, Kelsie Mitchell (pictured) was selected this year to become the 10th Broken Hill female student to be one of Australia’s young ambassadors to represent Australia at the United Space School (USS) program in Houston from the 22nd July- 6th August 2018.

Kelsie was the successful recipient after a very competitive application.

“The Space School is an interdisciplinary program that annually brings together up to 50 students from 25 different nations to study at the University of Clear Lake. Under the mentorship of engineers, scientists, and leaders in the aerospace industry, they come together to design their own Mission to Mars”

As with each recipient of the annual USS program, Kelsie will be extremely busy completing all the required assessments in preparation to attend the USS and fundraise to cover costs for the trip. Kelsie would value any support or donations.
